The issue is that Shopnbc would not honor the sale price for the customer the next day, (Monday morning), when customer service was contacted about the matter. The consumer should be able to depend on the company to have qualified people to answer questions. Or at the least, tell the customer if they did not purchase today, the sale will end at midnight that evening.
Shopnbc was contacted three times that day, twice the call was disconnected before speaking to a supervisor. Finally a customer svc. rep. that agreed to help initially, wrongly stated the purchase could be made at the sale price since it was within 24 hours. Then the customer svc. rep. wrongly stated that the mattresses were not advertised on the previous Sunday morning on TV, which they were. She accused me of sending an email from an old show aired on Jan 19th 2012. This was not true. She also rudely stated that no amount of pushing would change the decision. No one was ever rude to this customer service rep. Besides Shopnbc 'tell a friend' emails when clicked on by the recipient will show the latest price if a sale is over.
This recent experience with Shopnbc was just one I have experienced over the years". Once Shopnbc took over $1000 twice for a purchase and refused to immediately credit their mistake/. Another time they sent a flat screen TV that broke in 2 weeks?. Then promised to reship the TV in about a week:. Later when they received the return, they expected me to wait 8 weeks for another TV, I cancelled the order'. Also, Shopnbc refused to honor their promise to credit the return shipping costs".
Otherwise, there is no problem with regular ordering, or returns.. But a companies value stands on its customer service, which they are lacking/. I will seriously consider not making any future major purchases from Shopnbc. 128f02b
